Hello, welcome to the Winter Issue of my homepage.

My name is Harry Oudekerk. I am a teacher at the Dutch Filmacademy, I teach film- and video editing, and my hobby is, as you may have guessed, collecting toy theatres.
I started collecting somewhere in the early sixties when I was very much into puppetry, doing stopmotion and glove puppets etc.
Then I read something about Danish, English and Dutch toy theatres and went to an exhibition organized by Ab Vissers and the rest is history like they say.

This is the third issue of my WORLD WIDE WEB Toy Theatre Magazine. I tried to make four magazines this year but that proved a bit too much. But I hope I can make it up to you by including a, I think Very Nice, Toy Theatre that you can download, print and build yourselves. You may expect the "SPRING ISSUE" around Easter and then there will be a complete play in it for this theatre: Puss in Boots, (if all goes as planned, which probably it will not)

This is the right moment to express my gratitude to all of you people who responded to my humble efforts.
It is so nice to meet all of you on the Web, and some in person.

There has been some silly problem with my email. All of the replies were sent not to me, but to an address "email@domain.com" to which my browser defaulted for some reason. I was not aware of this until Gay Warden from Pollocks pointed this out to me. So if you had any problems replying to me, please do try again.

Gigi and Glen Sandberg were on a tour through Europe and I met them and took them to my home last november 16th. I had also invited Ab Vissers and we had a marvelous time talking toy theatres and getting better aquainted.

Ab, who is a member of the Danish puppet association showed me a page in their magazine "Soufloren" where there was an item about toy theatres on the Web. And look there I was mentioned. I am getting famous in my spare time!
